AIPEU-GDS & NFPE DECLARED MARCH TO SANCHAR BHAWAN (o/o MoC), NEW DELHI ON 27th JULY 2017

NFPE & AIPEU-GDS DECLARED

GDS MARCH TO COMMUNICATIONS MINISTER’S OFFICE (SANCHAR BHAWAN) ON 27TH JULY 2017 THURSDAY 11AM AT NEW DELHI

About 5000 Gramin Dak Sevaks will march to Sanchar Bhawan (Communications Minister’s office) demanding:

1. Immediate implementation of Positive recommendations of Kamalesh Chandra Committee Report on GDS. Grant Civil Servant Status to Gramin Dak Sevaks.

2.       Conduct GDS membership verification immediately as more than five year is over since last verification. Stop patronizing Govt. sponsored unions.

Dear Comrades,

As you are aware, the Kamalesh Chandra Committee on GDS has submitted its report to Government on 24.11.2016. Now six months are over. The report is still pending in the Postal Board. After the approval of Postal Board the report is to be approved by Communications Minister, Department of Personnel, Law Ministry, Finance Ministry and finally Cabinet.

Government is trying to delay the implementation of the report indefinitely. It will take another one year, as per the existing file movement at Directorate. The recognised GDS Union has miserably failed and called off the indefinite strike without any settlement. Both recognised GDS Union and BMS union are indirectly supporting the Government’s plan to delay the GDS committee report and are cheating the GDS employees. NFPE and AIPEU-GDS cannot allow this situation to go unchallenged.

Similarly GDS membership verification process is also indefinitely delayed, after calling for application from the unions/Association. Already five years are over after the last membership verification. The recognised GDS Union is afraid of membership verification and has given a letter to the Postal Board to postpone the membership verification. BMS Union also don’t want verification as they will not get recognition. Thus, both recognised GDS Union and BMS Union are playing with the Government and they cannot conduct any serious agitational programmes against the Government. Only NFPE & AIPEU-GDS can fight against the negative attitude of the NDA Government.

NFPE & AIPEU – GDS has decided to organize serious agitaitonal programmes on the above two GDS demands culminating in strike.

Before declaring the strike date, NFPE & AIPEU-GDS has decided to organize a massive GDS March to the Communication’s Minister’s office (Sanchar Bhawan) on 27th July 2017 at 11 AM. About 5000 Gramin Dak Sevaks from all the Circles (States) will participate in the historic Sanchar Bhawan March.

NFPE & AIPEU-GDS (CHQ) calls upon the entire Postal employees, especially Gramin Dak Sevaks, to mobile maximum number of employees and make the Sanchar Bhawan March a thundering success.

We shall not rest, till GDS employees demands are settled.

Fraternally yours,

Dear Comrades,
After reviewing the unprecedented success of the nationwide one day strike organised by Confederation of Central Government employees and workers on16-03-2017, the National Secretariat of Confederation which met at New Delhi on 13-04-2017 has decided to continue its struggle against the totally indifferent and negative attitude of the BJP-led NDA Government against the Central Government employees, Central Govt. Pensioners, Autonomous body employees and Autonomous body pensioners.
The four months time limit fixed by the Group of Ministers on 30-06-2016, for implementation of the assurances given to NJCA Leaders was over on 30-10-2016. Now almost ten months are over, Confederation was compelled to organise independent protest action such as dharna, Black Day, Parliament March and one day strike on 16-03-2017, as the leadership of NJCA (other than Confederation and Postal Federations) are not ready to revive the deferred indefinite strike of 2016 July 11th.  Even after a lapse of ten months there is no visible change in the stand of NJCA leadership.  Taking advantage of this situation the Government has gone back from all its assurances and has succeeded in indefinitely delaying the implementation of assurances given by Group of Ministers to NJCA including grant of revised HRA and other allowances with effect from 01-01-2016.  It is in this background, the National Secretariat of the Confederation has decided to organise massive dharna in front of Finance Minister’s Office at North Block, New Delhi on 23rd May 2017.
There is no improvement in the revision of minimum wage and fitment formula.  Allowance committee headed by Finance Secretary has delayed its report indefinitely as per the wishes of the Finance Minister and Government. Pension Committee headed by Secretary, Pension has submitted its report rejecting the demand of the JCM staff side for implementing Option-I parity for pensioners, recommended by 7th CPC.  The NPS Committee constituted, after giving much expectations to the younger generation employees who are under NPS, has belied their hope by stating that withdrawal of NPS or guaranteeing minimum pension is not under the purview of the NPS Committee, due to the stringent conditions imposed on MACP thousands of employees are denied eligible promotion, revision of pay of autonomous body employees could not be implemented by the Ministries due to many retrograde conditions imposed by Finance Ministry, orders for revision of Pension and grant of Dearness Relief to Autonomous body Pensioners are not yet issued by the Government.  Wage revision of three lakhs Gramin Dak Sevaks of Postal Department is still pending.  The demand for regularisation of Casual, Contract and Daily rated mazdoors are not considered favourably.  All other demands including upgradation of LDC/UDC Pay Scale, grant of parity to various cadres with Central Secretariat staff etc. submitted to Government by NJCA and Confederation still remains unsettled.
As the NJCA leadership is not ready to revive the indefinite strike, for reasons best known to them, Confederation has to take the lead to channelise the anger, protest, disappointment and discontentment of entire Central Government employees and pensioners, including autonomous body employees and Pensioners.
It is decided that not less than 2000 (two thousand) employees and pensioners shall sit on dharna in front of the Finance Minister’s office on 23-05-2017.  Confederation National Secretariat calls upon all affiliates and COCs and also all Central Government employees and Pensioners including Autonomous body employees and Pensioners to participate in large numbers in the massive dharna on 23-05-2017.  All pensioners organisations are also requested to extend full support and solidarity by ensuring maximum participation of their members in the dharna programme.
Travel arrangements for those who are participating in the dharna should be made well in advance.
Protest demonstrations may be organised at all other places of the country on 23-05-2017.
II.           NEXT PHASE OF AGITATION- ORGANISE HUMAN CHAIN OF CENTRAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES AND PENSIONERS ON 22-06-2017 (THURSDAY) AT ALL IMPORTANT CENTRES.
Detailed circular will be issued after 23-05-2017.

Minimum BSNL Broadband Speed Increased to 4Mbps at No Extra Cost

As informed earlier, BSNL Broadband Speed has been increased to a minimum of 4Mbps from 2Mbps across the country starting May 1. The state-run telecom operator is India’s leading wired broadband service provider and the speed upgrade comes at no cost to its consumers.Minimum BSNL broadband speed increased to 4Mbps.

The speed change is valid across the nation for existing and new subscribers starting 1st May 2017. However, the FUP speed remains unchanged at 1Mbps.The speed hike comes for plans which have Fixed Monthly Charges(FMC) of Rs 675 and above. Apart from the increase in minimum speed, BSNL is also increasing the FUP high-speed data limit by up to 250% for many plans. For instance, the revised high-speed data with the 20 GB plan will now be 70 GB which sums up to a 250% hike as reported by ET.

The plans are not reflected on the BSNL portal as of now, but they will soon be updated. The BSNL Customer service centers or call center can be reached at 1800-345-1500 for new connections and updated BSNL broadband speed.

BSNL is offering amazing starter plans for new subscribers offering Unlimited Broadband at Rs 249. The plan offers 300 GB broadband data at 2 Mbps till the daily data limit of 10 GB is reached. After exhaustion of 10GB, the subscribers will still get unlimited internet access at 1 Mbps. This plan also offers unlimited calls to any number in the country from 9 pm to 7 am.

BSNL is the only operator offering 10GB per day plan under Wired Broadband service provider in the country.

Let us not forget Reliance Jio which is responsible for this revolution in the telecom industry.

So, how many of you have experienced an increase in BSNL broadband speed? Or are you planning to get a new BSNL broadband connection?
